A Gamer's Review

7/1/12 Marvel Super Hero Squad the video game

Hello. Linkd3 here. Today, I would like to review the Nintendo DS game Marvel Super Hero Squad (a personal favorite of dragonboom's), primarily its Wireless Classic Battle Mode's characters. First off, Spiderman and Dr. Doom's Super Attacks are very OP'd (overpowered). Spiderman's Super Attack is OP'd because its there is very little room to escape and it deals too much damage for a single attack. Dr. Doom's is OP'd because of its ability to branch off into other directions and its other ability to hit more than opponent, adding a sense of unfairness to a game. Iron Man's Super Attack may seem slightly OP'd because you can place more damage and attack range on one side than the other, but in reality, its actually a pretty balanced Super Attack. This is because the more damage and range you add to one side, you're actually taking damage and range from the other side. Here an example.
- equals regular beam
=equals super beam
_ equals weak beam
| equals Iron Man
The move  unaltered: -----------|------------
Altered to the right side: _____|=============
Altered to the left side: =============|_________

So you see, Iron Man is actually putting more power to one side by taking power from the other. Magneto, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, and Abomination's Super Attacks are your most balanced Super Attacks. Mystique (or whatever her name is) can either be OP'd or UP'd (underpowered), depending on who's Super Attack she is copying, Wolverine is the only one whose Super Attack is truly UP'd (dragonboom says this is because Wolverine is the first character a player gets). As for stages, all of them are well-balanced. The Training Platform stage to me is reminiscent of Final Destination is Super Smash Bros. Well, that's all i got to say for now. Later!
